Meet your art coach that can take your skills from
mediocre to exceptional: Carey Alvez

I understand the desire to leave your mark on the world through your art.
And your longing to master the skills that will take your art from good to great.
I also understand the frustration of being taught by an artist who is talented, but lacks the teaching skills to help you get better and better.
And fighting it out on your own is a long windy path filled with ditches and potholes ... and little success.
Over decades of studying art in Europe from academic to private institutions and at the Academy of Realist Art, I give you the very best of what I've learned so you can create as beautifully as I can - in a lot less time.

Carey's system works. I'm pretty happy doing my thing and thinking "Oh this is so great", and she is like "You're a little baby crawling. You have no idea yet that you can run a marathon."

There are times when I feel the pressure. But then I remember, as Carey always says, it's one step at a time.Just work on the one thing and ignore everything else in the picture. She's very encouraging that way.

Commonly Asked Questions
How many people are in a group?
The maximum number of students is limited to 10.
We have also found that the group sessions are by far the best as students have expressed how much they are learning by watching others. Many issues are universal and other students inspire ideas of their own. It's a much richer learning environment.
How long is each critique?
Each critique averages about 15 minutes.
I also rotate the roster so the same people are not waiting to the end at each week.
What if I miss a session?
Most people let me know ahead of time if they are not able to attend and we can adjust the price to the number of weeks you can attend, however there are no carryovers.
Can I bring my own work even if I'm not enrolled in one of your courses?
Sorry but no. The critiques are based on the principles I teach in my courses, therefore, we are focused on those methods and we are all on the same page.
Can I get a refund?
If you attend one of sessions and decide it's not for you just let us know and we will give you a full refund.
You can also check out one of my sample critiques before you enroll.
Can I still get my work critiqued if I cannot attend the meeting?
Yes, just send in your image as you would normally do and I will include it on the slide show and critique it, like if you are there with the others.
You can then watch the Class Zoom Session later at your convenience.
What if I paid for several sessions and something comes up and I can't attend them?
If an unexpected turn of events prevents you from attending, we can refund you the missed class/es or credit you towards the next session when you are ready to step back in.
Just talk to us directly to work out the details.

Carey actually knows how to teach so that people can duplicate what she can do.
She's
bar none. The best. There isn't anyone that can teach you as quickly as Carey can.
